Pro Tip: If you want to ensure safe boat travel or a safe
swim on Tongariki or Buninga, throw ten rocks into the salt water. It will
frighten the sharks and/or do something special and kastom to ensure your
health and happiness. I suspect it has something to do with maybe the
pre-Christian shark gods, but no one has confirmed or denied this line of
thinking.
